Sheffield United have been dealt another big blow with confirmation Matt Hill will be out for six weeks with a broken jaw.

The 31-year-old sustained the injury in an early aerial challenge during the weekend's third-round FA Cup win at Oxford, and scan results have revealed the versatile defender has suffered a fracture. Blades manager Danny Wilson has recently signed defender Danny Higginbothan on loan from Stoke as cover for Neill Collins, who will be sidelined for at least two months after sustaining a triple fracture of his cheekbone in the Boxing Day win over Scunthorpe, while striker Shaun Miller was ruled out for the rest of the season after damaging cruciate knee ligaments in the same match. "We're not having the best of luck at the moment," Wilson told the club's official website. "It is incredible that the injuries we are picking up are long-term. "I'm gutted for Matty and we are looking at six weeks before he returns, but that depends on how he heals."
