Sky Sports understands a host of clubs are tracking Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter.

Arter is regarded as one of the best young midfielders outside the top two divisions and clubs higher up the football pyramid are keeping tabs on his progress.

The 22-year-old impressed interested observers with a goal and man of the match performance against Tranmere last weekend.

Arter, who joined from Woking in the summer of 2010, has established himself as key member of the Bournemouth side with new Cherries boss Eddie Howe thought to be a big fan of the cultured midfielder.

The former Charlton youngster's performances at Bournemouth have not gone unnoticed and his suitors are thought to be weighing up moves for the player when the transfer window reopens in January.

Bournemouth would be loath to lose Arter as Howe looks to keep hold of his best players as they aim to turn around their fortunes after a poor start to the season.
