Saunders hails Jones showing

Rob Jones' late goal at Hartlepool could earn him a permanent place in Doncaster's attack, according to boss Dean Saunders.

The centre-back headed home Kyle Bennett's cross with a minute to play at Victoria Park, earning Rovers a 1-1 draw. It was the captain's second goal since joining from Sheffield Wednesday and Saunders believes there could be more to come. "He gets on the end of things - I might play him up there," he said after the game. "I think it was Rob Jones versus Hartlepool for the last 10 minutes! "He's a great lad. He's got a great attitude and you want him in the trenches with you."
