Mitchell aims to get right man

Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has said he will not rush his decision to appoint a new manager.

Paul Groves was removed from his position earlier in the week but Mitchell has stressed he will take his time before hiring a replacement. "We have got to find another manager and we would love to have one in charge for Saturday's game, but we want to think about it and appoint someone as and when we are ready," he told Hot Radio. "It could be very soon or it could be in the distant future, but we've got the personnel to coach the players and get the team ready to play at Coventry on Saturday, and that's what is going to happen. "I've spoken to various people and my phone hasn't stopped ringing with inquiries, but I've got to sit down and work with the people around me to find the right people to take the club forward. "I think there will be a lot of interest in the job but I've got to make sure I get the right person. It can also be an expensive decision, but we want to get right and we will keep looking."
