Bournemouth boss Paul Groves was pleased to see goalscorer Matt Tubbs impress as the Cherries drew 2-2 with Brentford in League One on Tuesday.
Tubbs' header cancelled out Simon Francis' own-goal before Bournemouth took the lead through a Charlie Daniels penalty. However, Harry Forrester's curling strike left the Cherries still looking for their first home win of the season.
Groves said: "Brentford were one of the better sides we have played. They had a go at us but overall we created the better chances.
"I am disappointed we did not go on and win after going 2-1 up but they pegged us back. It was tough and frantic at times.
"I am pleased for Matt Tubbs. This was his first starting chance of the season and his goal was a fantastic finish. I am pleased for him coming into the team and scoring. But he had a great chance right at the end and he could have been a hero.
"We are still looking for our first home win but if we keep playing like that I am sure it will come. We have many new players and things need to settle."
