Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade hailed Ryan Brunt after the Stoke loanee came off the bench to secure a 1-0 win over Brentford on Thursday.
Brunt's 75th-minute effort in the League One clash at Brisbane Road gave the O's their second win on the bounce and earned them local bragging rights.
The 19-year-old, on loan until January and making his third appearance from the bench for Orient, coolly slotted home having collected former Bees midfielder Martin Rowlands' pass 14 minutes after replacing Michael Symes.
Slade said: "I'm really pleased for Ryan because he's not had too much time on the pitch but he's starting to develop and get used to us.
"Nuge (coach Kevin Nugent) has done a lot of work with him as well, extra work in training and that's paying off. Lo and behold, he got the all-important goal for us."
