Leyton Orient have handed a trial to former Ipswich winger Jaime Peters, a free agent after leaving Portman Road last month.

The 25-year-old Canada international scored for Orient's reserves against Peterborough on Tuesday afternoon. Marc Laird and Stoke loanee Ryan Brunt were also on target as the O's ran out 3-1 winners. Assistant manager Kevin Nugent told the club website: "We went a goal down early on, but after that the performance was spot-on and what we needed. "Marc Laird scored a fantastic goal and it was good for him, Ryan and Billy Lobjoit to get minutes because with the hectic schedule we've had so far, and them being involved in the squads, we haven't had the chance to give them a reserve game. "This was the first clear week we've had and the match has certainly been a worthwhile exercise."
