Preston boss Graham Westley was full of praise for his Lilywhites following their 4-1 home win over Swindon.
North End had only scored once in the league before Sunday's game, but they put the Robins to the sword with goals from Akpo Sodje, Nicky Wroe, Stuart Beavon and John Welsh. Raffaele De Vita pulled one back for the visitors.
"It's another step in the right direction as a team," said Westley. "We've struggled to post league results in the time that I've been here and it's nice to see the side playing with a confidence and putting sides to the sword for a change.
"It's important that we get the fans up and behind the team. It's a tough ground for anyone to come and visit - and when you get the passion of Deepdale roaring as it was for this game you wouldn't want to be an opponent.
"It's up to us to make sure we're the side that everyone is talking about. We don't spend too much time looking at opponents but we saw their defensive vulnerabilities and we felt that we could exploit them."
