Former Fulham and Wigan midfielder Jimmy Bullard has agreed a deal to join Milton Keynes Dons.

Free-agent Bullard becomes Karl Robinson's fifth signing this summer after finalising a deal to run until December 31. The midfielder, who left Ipswich Town by mutual consent earlier this month, follows the likes of Jon Otsemobor, Ryan Lowe, Antony Kay and Alan Smith as the Dons' mount a promotion push. Bullard began his career with Gravesend & Northfleet, before a short spell with West Ham United led to a move to Peterborough. The 33-year-old joined the Latics in 2002 where he proved vital in helping them win Division Two in his first season before becoming a key player in helping the club reach the top flight for the first time. Fulham captured the midfielder's services in a £2.5m move in 2006 and Bullard went on to spend three years with the London club, making over 40 appearances. Bullard is set to wear the number 13 shirt and will be available for selection against Carlisle United this weekend.
