Leyton Orient have signed former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Martin Rowlands on a month-long contract.

Rowlands, who spent nine years with the R's before joining Colchester towards the end of last season, spent the summer training with Orient and featured in several pre-season friendlies. The 33-year-old enjoyed five years at League One rivals Brentford earlier in his career, and has five Republic of Ireland caps to his name. He has scored 64 goals in 424 career games and will go straight into Russell Slade's squad for the Capital One Cup trip to Premier League club Everton.
