Yeovil manager Gary Johnson admitted there was a dejected mood in his side's dressing room following their 1-1 draw against Coventry.
In the first-ever match between the teams, Cody McDonald's early opener was cancelled out by a Richard Hinds header at Huish Park as both sides shared the spoils.
"To say it could be two points lost against a team like Coventry shows that we are going forward," Johnson said.
"The boys are disappointed, and I didn't help them with that because we need to improve parts of our game to be competing in the top half.
"I'm pleased with the work-rate in the heat, but it was just our final ball that we couldn't quite find.
"We picked up a point but we've got to raise our standards."
