Adebola given Brewers chance

Burton have taken former Coventry striker Dele Adebola on trial as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

Manager Gary Rowett invited the 37-year-old to train with the Brewers as three of his strikers are out injured. The trio of Calvin Zola, Justin Richards and Billy Kee are sidelined, leaving Adi Yussuf as the only fit first-team forward. "We've got Dele Adebola coming in to train for a couple of days," Rowett told the club's official website. "He was a team-mate of mine at Birmingham and hopefully he'll be involved on Saturday. "Calvin, Justin and Billy are not ready so there'll only be Adi fit as one of our strikers. That's something we're going to have to look at and maybe we'll have to strengthen that area." Rowett also confirmed ex-Reading striker Brett Williams and Scottish forward Matt Patterson will get another chance to impress during Saturday's friendly with neighbours Derby.
