Carlisle defender Peter Murphy has signed a new one-year deal and will now target his 500th appearance for the club.
The 31-year-old Irishman has made nearly 450 appearances in total for the Cumbrians since signing from Blackburn in 2001.
Manager Greg Abbott told the club's official website: "Peter has been fantastic for us and he knows we think very highly of him.
"He played a key part in what we did last season and he's one of those where you know what you're going to get.
"He's very, very professional and focused. He's an excellent influence in the dressing room and I'm delighted that he'll be part of what we're trying to do again next season."
