Carlisle midfielder James Berrett has targeted another play-off challenge after signing his new contract at Brunton Park.

The 23-year-old, who has made over 100 first-team appearances for the Cumbrians, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal. "I'm really settled here, but I think the main reason why I've signed is that I enjoy it," Berrett told the club's official website. "I come into training every day with a smile on my face and I think everything else falls into place after that." Berrett, who joined Carlisle from Huddersfield in 2010, added: "We came close last season and I don't see why we can't be involved this year. "We were unlucky with a few injuries at the wrong time and losing Lee Miller was a massive blow. That's football though and maybe it will be our turn this time round."
