Versatile defender Glenn Wilson has left Crawley Town to become non-league Gateshead's fourth signing of the summer.
The 26-year-old was Town's longest serving player in their current squad but he made just seven appearances last season and spent time on loan at Fleetwood Town and Woking.
Wilson is therefore looking forward to a fresh start with Gateshead in 2012/13 as they seek promotion to the Football League after finishing eighth in the last campaign.
"Gateshead are a club on the up who have improved year on year and I'm delighted to be here," Wilson told his new club's official website.
"I know the Conference well and am looking forward to it. I'm a consistent player and I will do my best for the team and give my all.
"Gateshead had a great season last time around and were unlucky not to make the play-offs.
"I loved my time at Crawley but I'm really looking forward to playing for Gateshead. I like to defend and pride myself on keeping clean sheets.
"I also like to get forward as well when I can and play good football, you've just got to find a happy medium."
