Yeovil have announced the signing of former Doncaster striker James Hayter, who is the latest player to join the Glovers' revamped squad.

The 32-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the Glovers after ending his contract in South Yorkshire. "We are very excited to have James join us as he gives us fantastic experience and of course goalscoring prowess," manager Gary Johnson told the club's official website. "His experience in the dressing room along with that of Jamie McAllister, Gavin Williams and Richard Hinds will be invaluable for our young players, knowing that these players have the experience of winning promotions from this division and are leaders both on and off the field. "Our squad is an excellence mix now of youth and experience and I will be announcing a couple of younger exciting prospects on Monday. So at the present time our group is looking extremely competitive. Myself, Terry (Skiverton) and Darren (Way) can get lots of work with our new squad nice and early. "So if you haven't bought a season ticket this will, in my opinion, be the season to do it."
