Shrewsbury have added to their squad after completing the signing of former Southampton striker Ryan Doble, who will boost the club's attack.

The 21-year-old, who made one appearance for Southampton in the FA Cup last season before being released in May, is the Shrews' fourth summer signing. Doble told the club's official website: "I knew that Shrewsbury contacted Southampton and contacted my agent. I think they saw me play a few games for Wales Uunder-21s. "I've been at Southampton since I was 11 so I was there 10 years and enjoyed my time, but I'm happy to move on. I hope to push for a first team place and play regularly. "I'm at a stage now where I need to go and play games consecutively. I feel ready for it and I'm itching to get going." Doble has had loan spells at Stockport, Oxford, Bournemouth and Bury in recent seasons.
