Carlisle boss Greg Abbott expects out-of-contract players Peter Murphy, James Berrett and Frank Simek to sign their new deals.

Defender Murphy, 31, is the club's longest-serving player having made over 450 appearances since joining from Blackburn in 2001. American right-back Simek, 27, and midfielder Berrett, 23, joined the club in the summer of 2010 following their release from Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield respectively. Manager Greg Abbott told the club's official website: "We've spoken to all of them and even though we have one or two minor details to finalise we're in a situation where all three have agreed to stay with us. "This is great news for us because these lads have played a big part in the improvement we have seen over the last few seasons. "With these deals agreed it gives us a much better idea of the platform we have as we look to strengthen and kick on next season."
