Long-serving Carlisle United defender Danny Livesey has signed a new contract ahead of next season.

The 27-year-old, who has been with the Cumbrians since 2004, has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the option of an extension for a further 12 months. Manager Greg Abbott told the club's official website: "Danny has been an excellent player for this football club and for me. "He puts everything into his game and he is the type of player who will put his body on the line to help the team. "He gets a lot of respect in the dressing room and I'm delighted that he is staying with us."
