Miller humbled by club honours

Carlisle striker Lee Miller said he was humbled ater being voted player of the year by both the club's fans and his team-mates.

Miller, a free signing from Middlesbrough last summer, scored 15 goals for the Cumbrians as they just missed out on a play-off finish, while the 28-year-old Scot's season was cut short due to a groin injury. "It's a fantastic feeling to know the supporters have chosen you as their favourite player and it actually makes you feel really humble," Miller told the club's official website. "I keep saying that the relationship you have with the fans is important, for a number of reasons, so for them to acknowledge you like that is the biggest pat on the back you can get. "Then I picked up the players' award as well and you find yourself lost for words. These are the lads you train and work with every single day so it was really flattering to have them vote for me in the way they did."
