Grecians show McNish the door

Callum McNish has been released by Exeter City after the midfielder's contract expired.

McNish joined the club last summer following his release from Southampton and made his debut in the first home match of the season - a 2-0 Carling Cup victory over Yeovil. The 19-year-old's last appearance for City came in a 3-0 win over Leyton Orient on Easter Monday. Since the campaign came to an end 10 days ago, Alan Gow and Elliott Frear have agreed new deals, Daniel Nardiello has signed for Rotherham and McNish joins Luke O'Brien in leaving the club after their contracts expired.
