Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore has hailed the longevity of Ian Goodison after the veteran centre-back penned a new contract at Prenton Park.
Goodison's fresh one-year deal will take him beyond his 40th birthday, having joined Rovers eight years ago.
"Goody is a one off," Moore told the club's official website. "He tells us he's 39 so he could be 50!
"He just keeps going. He's probably the worst trainer you've ever seen in your life, but he's there week in, week out.
"He's been a tremendous professional footballer, especially for Tranmere. He's been fantastic for us."
