Mathieu Baudry hopes his performances on loan with Dagenham and Redbridge will have done enough to earn him a new deal at Bournemouth.
The 24-year-old defender is out of contract at Dean Court following an injury-interrupted season and expects to learn his fate in the coming weeks.
Having worked his way into the Cherries starting line-up when the campaign was in its infancy, a hamstring injury suffered in September sidelined Baudry for five months, before he played 11 times as the Daggers secured their npower Football League status.
"I like the club, but I don't think anyone really knows what will happen," he told Bournemouth's official website. "It's a transitional time for the club and I'm waiting to hear what they expect from me.
"I'm 24 and I want to be on the pitch so I can show what I can do. I'm going away on holiday and we will see when I come back.
"I have done what people have asked of me. I've been injured and have done my best to come back. They told me to go out on loan, I went on loan and I think I did my job."
