League One outfit Oldham Athletic have handed a professional contract to promising young defender Glenn Belezika.
The 18-year-old has recently forced his way into Latics boss Paul Dickov's first-team plans, and the ex-Manchester City striker has been impressed with his attitude.
He told the club's official website: "What has impressed me is when Glenn has joined the first team, he is someone who imposes himself on the group.
"When you bring in young players like James Tarkowski, Connor Hughes, Carl Winchester and David Mellor, you want them to make an impression on the group and not just turn up.
"Glenn's attitude is fantastic and he is always asking questions and wanting to learn and get better. And if he keeps doing those things we believe he has a chance of making it.
"Though he is a little raw, we believe there is a lot of potential which we will be working to realise."
