Simon Francis has expressed his delight that Bournemouth share his aspirations for promotion to play Championship football next season.
The defender arrived at the Dorset club on loan from Charlton in November, turning his stay at Dean Court permanent during the January transfer window, and the 27-year-old has seen enough during his brief time at the club to have an optimistic outlook for the future.
The Cherries are hell-bent on gaining promotion out of League One in the very near future, and Francis believes that could happen as soon as next term.
"There are a lot of positive things going on at the club and it's a good place to be," he said.
"The club has got ambitions to be in the Championship and that's where I want to be playing my football.
"Next season will be massive for us and we will all be looking at making a serious go of it and going for automatic promotion."
