Sam Saunders has set his sights on firing Brentford into the Championship after signing a new contract.
The 28-year-old winger on Monday put pen to paper on a one-year extension with the option of a further 12 months if he plays a certain number of games.
"I'm delighted to get it done, now I want to focus on the rest of the season and pushing on next year," he told the Bees' official website.
"It's a performance-based contract, I will back myself to play the amount of games and help the team get to where we all want to go - promotion.
"We will be striving for promotion if not this year, then next, and we want to end the season strongly."
Saunders, who joined the Bees from Dagenham in 2009, has scored eight times this season and is approaching 100 appearances for the club.
