Rochdale manager John Coleman believes there is more to come from his team after they picked up a crucial point away at Charlton.
Nicky Adams have given Dale a surprise lead in the 53rd minute at The Valley, only to see Yann Kermorgant dispatch a 25-yard free-kick to level the scores.
The result moves Rochdale to within three points of safety and Coleman is expecting his charges to build on this result when they travel to Colchester at the weekend.
"I was really pleased with the effort we showed and proud of everyone," he said.
"They've ran themselves into the ground but I've stressed to them they've got to expect more of themselves.
"They are quality players in their own right and they should expect more of themselves and more of each other.
"That's what we tried to get into them."
