Hazell bemoans bad weather

Shrewsbury defender Reuben Hazell has seen his recovery from injury halted by the recent bad weather.

Hazell sustained a knee ligament injury in September that threatened to keep him out for the whole season. However, the former Oldham man is recovering well, despite his progress being hampered by the wintery conditions. "The weather has probably set me back a week because coming back from long-term injury, it wasn't right for me to go on an artificial pitch," he told the Shropshire Star. "But it's progressing well and now it's a case of getting some training and two or three reserve games under my belt." Hazell is hoping that he can help the Shrews in their promotion push, even if his playing time is restricted. "The boys have done excellently throughout the season and if I play a part in helping us achieve our target (of promotion) - whether that is one game or 10 games - that will be fantastic."
