Goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis has been handed a contract at Oldham until the end of the season.
Bouzanis, 21, has been training with the Latics on non-contract terms for the past two months.
The Australian, who left Liverpool last summer after almost five years on Merseyside, told Oldham's official website: "I am buzzing and also relieved because I now have the security of a contract to the end of the season.
"I need to keep challenging Alex Cisak for the jersey. I have to keep working hard in training and hopefully I will get a chance in the first team."
