Rochdale have secured the services of defender Kevin Amankwaah until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old, who had been training with the League One club, signed the short-term deal on Friday afternoon.
He told the club's official website: "I've been training with the lads this week and I've enjoyed my time here.
"I've settled in well and the lads have made me feel really welcome. The quality of football is really good from the standards I have seen so far.
"Hopefully I can play first-team games here and help the lads out of the relegation zone."
Amankwaah has previously had spells with Swansea, Yeovil, Swindon and Burton.
