Loss will be a blessing - Tully

Steve Tully has insisted Exeter's 3-0 defeat at Leyton Orient last weekend will help the Grecians over the Christmas period.

The Devon side's impressive, six-match unbeaten run in League One came to an end at the Matchroom Stadium. But full-back Tully stressed it was better for the St James Park team to get a poor performance out of the way before the festive schedule intensifies. "Sometimes you needs games like last Saturday to iron out what's wrong and get back on the training ground and start doing the basics again," he told the Western Morning News. "We've been on a good run and it has come to an end. We need to start another run going into the Christmas period. "We know we need to respond and, with the crowd behind us, I'm sure we can get the three points. We're all angry and upset because we wanted to keep the run going as long as possible and keep climbing the table."
