Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton wants to extend the loan spell of Millwall defender Darren Purse at Huish Park.
The defender has featured four times for the Glovers since arriving in Somerset on October 21.
Skiverton is waiting on news regarding whether or not Purse's parent club are willing to let the former Birmingham man play for Yeovil in their FA Cup clash with Hereford on Saturday - but he has stressed he is keen to keep the 34-year-old in the West Country for longer.
He told the Western Gazette: "I would definitely like to keep him but I am no clearer about whether he can play or stay yet.
"He got knocked out on Saturday and still did a fantastic job when it was easy for a player to come off. I am pleased with everything he has done and his influence in the dressing room as well as on the pitch.
"With him and Paul Wotton in the team it really does give us that voice from the back and middle going forward."
