Goalkeeper Steve Arnold has returned to Wycombe after his loan spell with Hayes & Yeading was cut short due to injury.

The 22-year-old will undergo surgery on his left foot after sustaining a fractured metatarsal in Hayes' 3-3 draw with Stockport. The Chairboys expect Arnold to be out of action for at least eight weeks. Wycombe's head of medical and sports science Stuart Ayles told the club's official website: "He had surgery this morning (Tuesday) and we expect him to be out for a minimum of eight weeks."
