Parry pleased with Tiryaki

Tranmere manager Les Parry believes Mustafa Tiryaki is getting to grips with League One.

The evidence of three goals in the last three appearances by the former Havant & Waterlooville striker would certainly suggest as much, but Parry insists Tiryaki has undergone an acclimatisation period. "It's different for him," Parry told Tranmere Player. "He's been used to playing at a level that's a bit below the level we play at. "Some things he tries to get away with he probably would have done last season. His little flicks and drag backs don't work so well against better players. But like always, the more games he plays the more comfortable he will be, the more used to his role he will be and the more used other players will be to the way he plays." Parry is particularly impressed with the 24-year-old's prowess when striking a football. "Everything he hits, he puts his head down and whacks it at 500 miles an hour," the Rovers boss added. "Every now and then he needs to take a little bit out of it and concentrate on direction. But when he hits it and it's on target you don't stop them."
