Rosler backs Grella to shine

Brentford manager Uwe Rosler has backed Mike Grella to play a big role at Griffin Park after seeing the player in action this weekend.

The former Leeds striker has got off to a slow start to life in west London but made his first start for the Bees in Saturday's 2-1 win over Chesterfield. Rosler explained: "Mike wasn't used to our style of football when he arrived, but he's worked hard in training and in the development games. "He's a very tricky player in the right areas and I think he's shown he can be a big player for us." Grella lasted 72 minutes before he was replaced by Gary Alexander, who was making his first appearance in nearly two months following a knee injury. "I felt good when I was out there and there were no problems," said ex-Millwall striker Alexander.
