On-loan midfielder wants to help Chesterfield climb the table

Chesterfield's on-loan midfielder Lee Johnson insists that no one at the club is content with the start to life in League One. The Spireites are currently languishing in the relegation zone after just three wins in their first 15 games after clinching the League Two title in style last term. Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at Rochdale ended a five-game losing streak and Johnson, on loan from Bristol City, is keen to help the club push up the table and towards the play-off positions during his stay. "No, we are definitely not happy with our start to the season, but saying that I don't think they had won a game when I came here, so we've made strides in the right direction since then," Johnson told skysports.com. "We feel that we have a much better side now than our league position shows and we have been very unlucky in a number of games not to take more points. "The quicker the lads bed in over the next few weeks I'm sure that we can push up towards the back end of the play-offs come the end of the season. "They're a really top class set of people here, with a great manager and backroom staff, plus a great set of lads and overall it is a great family-based club and town. "I've enjoyed it immensely and to be fair to them they've looked after me really well, so it has been a great experience. "Hopefully, I can repay them a little by helping the club rise up the table because it certainly deserves to be further up than we are at the moment."
