League Two club Port Vale have extended Liam Chilvers' loan from Notts County for the maximum period of 93 days.

The defender's one-month stay at Vale Park was set to expire but the 30-year-old will now remain at the League Two club until December 24. Vale have won two and drawn two of the four games that Chilvers has played in. "We are delighted that both Notts County and Liam have agreed to extend the loan for the maximum amount of time," Vale boss Micky Adams told his club's official website. "Liam is an experienced player and I believe that has told in his performances. He has supplied us with real competition for places in the defence and that can only be positive for the squad." Meanwhile, teenager Kingsley James has agreed to join Chasetown on a one-month loan deal. James signed a 12-month contract with Vale in the summer following his release by Sheffield United.
