Garry Thompson believes Scunthorpe can become the first to defeat MK Dons at home this season when the two sides meet on Saturday.
The Dons have won three and drawn four of their seven league games at stadium:mk this season, netting 16 times in the process.
But the Iron have a good record in Milton Keynes having won their last two games there during the 2008/2009 season.
Thompson told Scunthorpe's official website: "It's a big open pitch at MK Dons, and we need to go back there, work hard and get a result.
"We've done it before there in the past, and there is no reason why we can't do it with this set of players.
"We've got a strong squad and although we are in a false position at the minute, it's OK going around saying that but we need to actually put some results on the board."
