Nardiello: We're lacking up front

Striker Daniel Nardiello has conceded Exeter's forward unit is not doing enough to help them pull away from League One danger.

The Grecians currently lie bottom of the division, having collected eight points from 13 outings so far this season and mustering just six goals in total in the league. It makes for fairly miserable reading for all associated with the club and Nardiello, who himself has registered three times in all competitions this term, believes the goal-getters need to lead the way as Exeter bid to arrest their early-season slide. "We are confident we can get out of it, but we have to start putting the ball in the back of the net and winning games," the 28-year-old told the Western Morning News. "All the lads are a bit gutted really. "We have to keep working hard and take our chances when we get them because we are not scoring them, and we need to defend a little bit better as well. We need that extra bit in all areas of the pitch."
