Scunthorpe midfielder Michael Collins is back in training following a month out of action with tendonitis in his knee.
The 25-year-old had an injection on Monday but boss Alan Knill is unsure when he will be fit for a first-team return.
"Michael Collins joined in parts of training with us on Tuesday," Knill told the club's official website. "He had an injection into his tendon on Monday and the physios have cleared him to step things up.
"It's a boost for us because at the moment we are really short on numbers.
"But there is still a way to go with him because he has missed so many games and so much of training.
"We did think about giving him a bit of game time in the reserves. But, being honest, he needs to build up his fitness levels a little first."
