Midfielder Michael O'Connor admits Scunthorpe were fortunate to record their first league win of the season against Yeovil.
The Iron struggled for large parts of the game before eventually triumphing 2-1 and the 23-year-old believes some good fortune was long overdue.
"We've performed well all season but not got three points, and then we didn't play as well and managed to win," he told the club's official website.
"I just want us to push up the table. It's always nice to perform and get the three points too, but in the end the results are all that matter.
"It is on your mind. If we weren't playing well and not getting the points it would have been justified, but we have been playing well all season.
"It was a huge relief and all the lads were buzzing in the dressing room after. Hopefully now we can go on a run."
