Leyton Orient midfielder Dean Cox has urged his team to lift their game and is desperate to turn around their poor start this season.
Russell Slade's side are rooted to the foot of the npower League One table after Tuesday's defeat by Bournemouth left them with just two points from their first eight games.
But Cox is confident the elusive first win is just round the corner and hopes it will come against Oldham on Saturday.
"We have got to stop making excuses," he said.
"The lads have got to stand up and be counted and we have got to make things happen.
"We have got to go into training and work harder. We have got to work twice as hard and when it comes to Saturday, we have got to work harder to make it happen."
