Pools boss targets 20-match run

Hartlepool boss Mick Wadsworth has targeted a run of 20 games unbeaten after his side set a new club record at the weekend.

Pools stretched their unbeaten start in League One to seven matches with a 2-1 win at Carlisle and Wadsworth is determined to extend the sequence. He told the Hartlepool Mail: "It's great for the fans and the players. It'll not last forever, but let's try and get to 20-odd. It would be fantastic if we could do that. "It's a great start to the season and I've said to the players 'do you want to kick on now? What's the next step? Can we kick on?' "The trick is to keep going and you work harder when you're winning to keep on improving and getting better, which I still feel we can. "But it's a terrific start and all credit to the players for that."
