Midfielder David Noble says a congested fixture list is to blame for Exeter's miserable start to the League One campaign.
The Grecians have played nine times in the first month of the season, but with a week's break between their last fixture - the defeat to Hartlepool last Saturday - and the trip to Exeter this weekend, Noble believes the team's batteries will have the chance to fully recharge.
And that, he hopes, will help Exeter start to improve on 20th place in the league table.
"I think this has been the first week where there hasn't been a Tuesday game," Noble told the Western Morning News. "The games have come thick and fast and part of it at Hartlepool may have been a bit of tiredness - maybe.
"But we have a full week of training now and we can hopefully put things right for next week."
