Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark believes football could lose its competitive edge.
The Terriers claimed a point against Oldham on Saturday in a game which saw Latics defender Bradley Diallo red carded for a challenge on Oscar Gobern.
Clark disagreed with the decision, and told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "It looks like Oscar has overrun the ball and their lad has to go for it.
"We have to be careful how we deal with these things. This is a contact sport.
"This game of ours is great because it's very competitive and if we lose that we'll kill it for the fans."
