American forward to see out the season at Griffin Park

Mike Grella has signed a permanent deal with Brentford and will see out the season at Griffin Park. The American linked up with the Bees on Friday, sealing a loan switch from Leeds. Since then he has negotiated the termination of his contract at Elland Road, making him a free agent. Having found himself in a position to discuss terms with a new employer, Grella has opted to remain with Brentford and has signed a deal that will run until the end of the season. He has already made two substitute appearances for the Bees and admits he is looking forward to playing a more prominent role now that his future has been resolved. Grella told the club's official website: "To be able to come here and do a job for Brentford and be able to learn and grow as a player is the most exciting thing.

Comfortable

"There were a couple of things going on for me. "When I heard Brentford were interested and with Uwe Rosler being the manager, for me it was a no-brainer coming here. "I came down to train, met the manager, met the guys and couldn't be more comfortable and be more happy with the move. "Training has been excellent, there is a fantastic group of players and the manager will help me and the club get to the next level. "I want to be involved as soon as possible, play as many games as I can and score as many goals as I can."
