League One club Notts County have signed midfielder Gavin Mahon on a pay-as-you play deal until January next year.
The 34-year-old began his career at Wolves and has also played for Hereford, Brentford, Watford and QPR. He was released by the Premier League newcomers at the end of last season. The Magpies are also hoping to sign an unnamed striker in time for Saturday's League One game at Preston.
