Bury boss Richie Barker has signed Blackpool rookie Ashley Eastham on a six-month loan deal to boost the Shakers' defence.
Eastham's arrival will help to lift the Shakers after they lost centre-back Mark Hughes to a hamstring injury which is expected to sideline him for around six weeks.
Eastham, a product of Blackpool's youth system, goes straight into Bury's squad for Saturday's home clash with Charlton.
Over the past two seasons Eastham, 20, has enjoyed a pair of loan spells with Cheltenham, chalking up a total of 29 appearances for the Robins.
In January, he also made a solitary FA Cup appearance for Carlisle during a short stint in Cumbria.
The centre-back started Blackpool's Carling Cup first-round tie at Sheffield Wednesday earlier this month but was sent off before the Seasiders slipped to a penalty shootout defeat.
