Carlisle boss Greg Abbott will pursue a new right-back after learning Frank Simek will be out for around eight weeks.
The American defender, 26, suffered a hip injury during the first half of the 3-0 loss to Notts County at the weekend, with a scan showing a torn muscle. Tom Taiwo filled the position in Simek's absence in the Carling Cup win over Oldham but Abbott wants a more permanent solution. He told the News and Star: "In the long-term we probably need to bring in a specialist right back. "I need to sit down with [managing director] John Nixon and see if we can do something about that."
