Rochdale have signed midfielder Paul Marshall on non-contract terms after his release from Walsall earlier this summer.
The 22-year-old, who started out as a trainee at Manchester City where Dale manager Steve Eyre was youth-team boss, was released by Walsall earlier this summer. Marshall did enough to convince Eyre he merited an extended stay at Spotland during the club's recent trip to Spain and will be handed the number 17 shirt for the new season. He has had loan spells at Blackpool, Port Vale and Aberdeen and signed for Walsall last summer following his release from Manchester City.
